Terms of Service
Version 2026-08-01
1. What you are buying
Ripsmith sells sealed digital packs. Each pack dispenses one or more real, physical trading cards, which become yours. You may have them shipped to you, keep them in your vault here, or sell them back to us for site credit.
Every pack has a published minimum value. You cannot receive less than that minimum in market value from any pack. The odds for every tier are published before purchase and do not change after you buy.
2. Credit is not money
Site credit is a prepaid balance that buys packs, entries and shipping. It is not redeemable for cash, cannot be withdrawn, transferred or exchanged, and has no value outside Ripsmith. You take value out of your account as cards, shipped to you — never as money.
3. Fairness
Before you open a pack we publish a cryptographic hash of the server seed that determines its outcome. Your result is derived from that seed, a client seed you control, and a counter — so it is fixed before you pay and cannot be altered afterwards. Rotating your seed reveals the previous one, letting you independently verify every pack you opened under it.
4. Your cards
Pulling a card entitles you to that exact card — the named printing, in the condition stated — whenever you ask for it. Some are already on our shelves; the rest we buy on your request from the live market, at our cost and our risk, which is why every card is checked as buyable before it can be pulled at all. Either way the obligation is the same and it does not expire. Cards worth at least $15.00may be shipped individually; below that, postage exceeds the card’s value, so bundle them or sell them back. We aim to ship within 5 business days of a request.
Shipping costs $4.99 per parcel, taken from your credit, and nothing once a parcel is worth $75.00 or more. The charge is per parcel rather than per card: further cards added to an open parcel cost no more, and if one takes the parcel past the free threshold the postage already taken is returned. If we cancel a parcel before it is sent, the cards go back to your vault and the postage is refunded.
Buyback is optional and pays 90% of the market value recorded for the card when you pulled it, in site credit. That figure is fixed at the moment of the pull and does not move with the market afterwards, in either direction. Selling back is final.
5. Age and eligibility
You must be 18 or over to hold an account. We record your confirmation and may ask you to verify your age or identity at any time, including before releasing a shipment. Accounts that cannot verify may be closed and any balance refunded to its original payment method.
6. Playing within your means
You can set a daily spend limit or self-exclude at any time from your limits page. Limits take effect immediately and are enforced before any purchase. Self-exclusion cannot be reversed before the period you chose has ended — that is the point of it, and we will not lift it early on request.
7. Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your card number. Deposits are refundable only where credit remains unspent; once credit has been used to open a pack, the pack has been delivered and that portion is not refundable. Contact support@ripsmith.com and we will deal with you fairly.
8. Acceptable use
One account per person. No automated play, no attempts to manipulate outcomes or exploit faults, and no reselling access to your account. We may suspend an account we reasonably believe is being used this way, and will explain why.
9. Trademarks
Ripsmith, Inc. is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast, The Pokémon Company, Nintendo or any card publisher. All cards sold are genuine secondary-market singles. Product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used here only to describe the cards we sell.
10. Changes
We will publish a new version here if these terms change, and record which version you accepted. Material changes will require your acceptance before you continue.
